Having already scooped two Which? Awards for best breastpump, the Mumsnet Medela is thrilled to announce its success in the recent consumer awards co-ordinated by leading parenting publication, Practical Parenting. The producer of the world’s most technologically advanced breastpumps and first choice for health professionals globally certainly lived up to this reputation scooping three top prizes.
They were awarded gold and silver in the category for best electric breastpumps for its Swing and Freestyle breastpump, and gold in the category for best manual breastpump for the Harmony pump. Having only entered the three pumps - this was a full house!
These awards are judged by mums following weeks of testing and aim to provide other mums an honest appraisal of the products on the market and to determine the very best products available to support during the early years of parenting.
Medela was also given recognition for its newest product Calma. The revolutionary feeding device that forces a baby to maintain its natural breastfeeding technique was shortlisted alongside some of the industry’s major inventions of 2010 in the category for best innovation.
Iain Haywood, Consumer Manager at Medela commented: “This is fantastic news for Medela. The company is committed to producing the very best products to provide the ultimate support to breastfeeding mothers and this success gives us a good indication we are getting it right for our consumers.”
