Harrogate party time
Published:  21 November, 2011

With only a few months until Harrogate Nursery Fair, a notable date for your diary – and one of the highlights of the show – is no doubt the Party Night and Awards which takes place at the Majestic Hotel on Sunday 25th March and this year attendees are in for a real treat with a great new line up of entertainment.

Allan Stewart is compere for the evening and will be presenting the much coveted BPA Baby and Nursery Trade Awards (BANTAs). Allan is a great all-round entertainer having worked in numerous theatre productions over the years, playing the part of Al Jolson in the West End production of ‘Jolson’ and also Roger De Bris in the touring production of Mel Brooks’ ‘The Producers’. He is known for his TV appearances in LWT’s ‘Copy Cats, the ‘Live from …’ series and hosted a quiz show called Chain Letters. Allan also made an impact on the music scene with an album and several singles under his belt, plus appearances on the Royal Variety Performance show.

After the meal, there will be plenty of time to let your hair down for a spot of dancing and this year music will be provided by The Tzars – a band of five turbo-powered musicians made up of an amazing horn section, funky keys, an inspirational guitarist and one of the most solid rhythm sections you’re ever likely to see.

Dressed in unique stage wear, you will warm instantly to charismatic lead vocalist Zara who is famous for playing guitar for Ricky Martin and Italian singer and song writer Eros Ramazzoti; while other band members Patch and Boris have graced the stage with the likes of the Specials and Bad Manners.

To purchase tickets for the evening, which includes a three course meal, the above entertainment plus a disco until late, contact the Harrogate Nursery Fair team on 01902 880906 or email: adrian@nurseryfair.com
