Kiddicare.com is delighted to announce the appointment of Alison Lancaster as Marketing and Merchandising Director for Online and Non-food, reporting into Scott Weavers-Wright. Alison will also head up the marketing strategy to launch the new Morrisons website, anticipated early in the New Year.
Alison, who featured at number 48 in Retail Week’s 2011 Etail Power List, starts in her new position, based at the Kiddicare.com and Morrisons.com GM head quarters in Peterborough, on 23rd January 2012.
She joins the Kiddicare.com and Morrisons online team from White Stuff, where she was Cross Channel Director.
Accustomed to working with retail giants, Alison’s previous achievements include the strategic launch of John Lewis.com and Debenhams.com. Alison has also worked as the Marketing Director for Harrods and Charles Tyrwhitt. Her consultancy work has seen her assist brands such as Crabtree & Evelyn, Gant UK and Feather and Black.
Recognised as an experienced leader and innovator in multichannel marketing and retailing, with a proven track record of implementing cross channel technology solutions, Alison secured a place in RetailInsider.com’s 2011 Top 100 Movers and Shakers, Marketing Magazine’s Little Black Book of Top Marketers as well as 101Directors.com Top 100 Etailers.
Reporting directly to Chief Executive of Kiddicare.com and Managing Director of Morrisons online general merchandise, Scott Weavers-Wright, Alison will head up the marketing and merchandising divisions. Her first challenges include developing the national and international brand awareness of UK’s leading nursery retailer, Kiddicare, as well as launching the innovative online offering from supermarket chain Morrisons.
