Skip Hop appears on BBC World News to illustrate improvement in US jobs market
Published:  17 January, 2012

New York based Skip Hop, designers of unique and innovative parenting products, was thrilled to be chosen recently by BBC World News to appear in a report about the improving state of the American jobs market.

The company was selected as a case study for the news piece due to its impressive employment figures. Michael Diamant, co-founder of Skip Hop, explained to reporter Michelle Fleury that the company has more than doubled its staff over the past few years…and is still hiring! He went on to say that there is a real demand around the world for American brands and as a result Skip Hop has experienced rapid growth overseas, in Europe, Asia and even China.

The feature took a look around Skip Hop’s head office and talked to one of its recent recruits, product designer Chelsea Carter. Plus Skip Hop’s friendly-faced Zoo Pack backpack was shown as an example of one of the company’s many much-loved and popular products that have helped the company achieve its impressive expansion.
