Rattles to Riches competition returns to The Baby Show, Earls Court
Published:  05 July, 2012

The UK’s leading National Parenting event, The Baby Show, welcomes the return of its Rattles to Riches event for all budding entrepreneurs at Earls Court on Friday 26th October. Designed to encourage the ‘next big thing’ in nursery products, companies have the chance to present their best products in a Dragon’s Den style pitch to a top panel of industry experts.

Back by popular demand, Rattles to Riches offers an exclusive opportunity for individuals and start-up companies to showcase their ideas and products to a panel of judges that this year includes buyers from Jo Jo Maman Bebe, Asda, Boots - and a special celebrity!! The winner will be awarded a free exhibition stand at The Baby Show of their choice in 2013, and the chance to be offered mentoring opportunities and get product stocked in a leading store.

All entries must be received by August 31st 2012. The shortlisted companies will then be invited to make a five minute presentation to the panel at a pre-selection day in September. Five entrepreneurs chosen from the pre-selection day will be invited to present to the panel in a grand final at the Earls Court Show.

“The Baby Show is delighted to host this fantastic and popular competition at the 2012 Earls Court Show. It’s a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to position their ideas in front of influential industry experts, with the rare chance to win business mentoring and brand support.” Nicole Muller, Portfolio Director at Clarion Events.

“The Rattles to Riches selection process gave me the opportunity to present my proto-type of Spilly Spoon to a panel of major retailers who gave me their thoughts and feedback, which is invaluable when launching a new product.” Philippa Le Boutillier, Spilly Spoon (2011 winner)
