Organic baby bedtime specialists The Little Green Sheep are delighted to announce they have recruited two new members to the team! Rosie Pritchard has been appointed as graduate Business Manager and Chris Parker is their new apprentice. The two roles have been created to support increasing demand following a fantastic few months of sales for the fast-growing Worcestershire based business.
Rosie, who joins the company fresh from University, has all the enthusiasm and willingness to learn that you’d expect from a successful graduate. She also has the added benefit of already having experienced working in a small business, as she grew up supporting her family’s company. Her new role will see her working closely with the trade as she will be the first point of contact for all new customers. She will also be responsible for maintaining The Little Green Sheep’s excellent customer service as well as supplier ordering.
Chris, who is the second apprentice to join the team, beat 27 other applicants to the post and will spend the year learning new skills and gaining experience in order fulfilment and warehousing. Following the success of the scheme last year, co-founders Mark Nicholls and Paul Maurice were very keen to offer this opportunity to another local school leaver.
Young entrepreneurs themselves, Mark and Paul are keen to train young business minds and involve them in the day to day running of their company. Considering how difficult it is for young people to find employment at the moment, they really are making a great commitment to their local area by offering an apprenticeship, as well as supporting UK graduates. It’s wonderful to see that a small business is willing to invest time and effort into training young people.
Commenting on the latest additions Mark Nicholls, co-founder of The Little Green Sheep said: “We are delighted to welcome both Rosie and Chris to our rapidly expanding team! Sales in 2012 have far exceeded our expectations, as parents search for organic and chemical free solutions for their nurseries. Adding Rosie and Chris to the team will support our continued to growth and meet the ever-increasing demand”.
Rosie added ‘I’m thrilled to be joining The Little Green Sheep at such an exciting in the company’s history. It did not take long to make the decision to relocate to Worcester knowing what lies ahead for the brand, and I can’t wait to get started!’ Chris is also very enthusiastic about his new role saying ‘I hope that the experience over the next 12 months will stand me in good stead for the future!’
Now a flock of five, it’s fair to say we can expect baaa-rilliant things from The Little Green Sheep!
