Kiddy’s Guardianfix Pro 2 is rated top ‘BEST BUY’ in Which magazine’s new international test for Group 1, 2, 3 car seats
Published:  04 December, 2012

Kiddy’s new Group 1, 2, 3 top-of-the-range car seat, the Kiddy Guardianfix Pro 2 has just been given a Which? Best Buy award this week, for being the very best design in its multi-stage class, for children between nine and 36kg. The model received an overall rating of 74% in this prestigious trial which confirmed its excellent safety score.

The report says, “It offers impressive side crash protection and head support and is a great choice if you have a car that allows you to use the Isofix installation option.” It approves of the dual option to use Isofix connectors or simply install it with the regular seatbelt, which is required in any case for use during Group 1 stage, when the ‘Kiddy Impact Shield’ system protects the younger child until they weigh 18kg. The impact shield has been shown to significantly reduce the risk of serious injury to the child in simulated crash tests at 41mph.

Extremely low pollutant levels, excellent safety, outstanding ease of use and good quality were all recognised by the judges and led to top marks. According to Which magazine the Kiddy Guardianfix Pro 2, “Is easier to fit with the Isofix connectors than with the adult belt alone, but a good belt routing means the risk of installing it incorrectly is low”.

The Kiddy Guardianfix Pro 2 has a newly refined baby insert cushion which ensures the child meets the correct height for security as he or she grows. The new design is deeply comfortable and practical, being, like the rest of the covers, machine washable at 30°C. Kiddy’s expert eye for detail has thought of every conceivable feature for any parents of young children, including ensuring it is simple and convenient to fit well, without placing unnecessary strain on the back.

Kiddy’s Guardianfix Pro 2 is specifically and intelligently designed to prevent injury. Using the latest advances in ‘Honeycomb V2’ material to absorb shock impact, the shell body literally draws dangerous friction energy away from the child and into the seat in a collision. Once the child has grown into the Group 2 stage, the patented Kiddy Shock Absorbers built into the base, work in conjunction with the seatbelt to provide a special ‘crumple zone’ effect normally only used in the luxury car market. Kiddy is the only manufacturer to offer this feature.
